THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF VENEZUELA
The Communist Party of Britain sends its warmest greetings to Venezuelan Communists on the hundredth anniversary of the foundation of your party.
Your party’s history has demonstrated the strength and resilience of Communist ideals and organisation in Venezuela – through opposition to dictatorship and military rule in the 1930s, solidarity with the Soviet Union during the Great Patriotic War and underground resistance during the pro-US authoritarian regimes of the post-war period.
Your party played a key role in the Bolivarian movement – defending all its positive gains at the same time as fighting to assert the necessity of continuing the revolutionary transformations required for socialism.
Dear Comrades, we send our solidarity and good wishes for the future.
